- New Technology
AS9015 – 2016 – Supplier Self Verification Process – Delegation Programs
- This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) further defines the requirements for a delegation process identified in Aerospace Quality Management System (AS9100, AS9110, AS9120).
- Establishes minimum requirements for the delegation of product verification to an organization’s suppliers, outlining requirements for the initial delegation (qualification/selection), maintenance, and removal/withdrawal of delegations.
More information on Work Transfer:
The IAQG Supply Chain Management Handbook (SCMH) provides more information on this, including some forms for each step of the process as outlined here:
The aviation industry oftentimes changes the source of supply or manufacturing of a component, component package, or assembly within the company or its external supply chain. Movement of work from one site to another, whether internal or external, is considered Work Transfer. When work transfer is not properly managed issues regarding time and quality arise.
IAQG has created a 7 section handbook. Section 7.1 discusses work transfer management.
It is divided into 4 subsections:
- 7.1.1: Work Transfer Management Introduction
- 7.1.2: Work Transfer Management Guidance
- 7.1.3: Work Transfer Management Worksheet Templates and Checklist
- 7.1.4: Work Transfer Management Worksheet and Checklists
